I just came back from the post office and dropping my eldest off at the train. She is off to visit her grandma for the weekend. If this is what happens when you eat too much chocolate then eat it everyday and plenty of it. All the medical reports are saying that dark chocolate is one of the healthiest foods out there for the heart and chock full of antioxidants.
I went to the best chocolate shop in the whole world ( in my lowly opinion) when I was in Lyon last month.
Nicole is in my opinion the best maker of soft sculptures in the world. I would love to take a work shop from her. Are you in???

Hooray! You *are* still with me, phew!
I am in complete agreement, Nicole is undisputedly the best in the world. Her inclusion in the ACC show backs us up too. Do you think that Nicole knows that she is caught in the crossfire of this intercontinental Astulabee love fest? I would love to take a work shop from Nicole and if you were there too it would be all the sweeter! I wonder if the workshop idea is worth mentioning to her, I’m sure many people would be very interested in taking classes with Nicole, I think she has teaching experience as well. Not sure how difficult it would be to set something like that up so that it would be worth it financially too.
I have to confess that the chocolate I was eating wasn’t the ‘good’ sort, but the backlogue from Christmas! I would love to hear some more about the chocolate shop in Lyon.
I am off to spend some time with my poor, neglected husband now.
Speak tomorrow I hope and you will be hearing from Adam re. lighting!!!
    Take Care,

You guys are so sweet fawning over Nicole!

I generally sit in silence and just admire the creatures from afar. From both Nicole and Lisa.

My personal vote is that you both make one of those ultra trendy little ‘how to do my art’ books. With doodles and pictures of works in progress.

    I love those.

Hearts to Lou Lou and Oscar and Astulabee.

  5. okay … I really have to say I’m super embarrassed by this fawning! and and after looking at your more recent posts… um an island in the UK? beautiful Canada… Lisa I know you saw the ridiculous mess that is my studio… are you kidding?
I’d love to give a workshop anywhere (else) !! I do teach … sort of, I’m a teaching artist which is different … more like a nice visiting aunt with a bag of special treat-y stuff to work with. I bring art edu/art projects to bolster a specific study subject into poor city public schools. I’m about to embark on a treacherous journey teaching 13 year olds about public art and then helping them to produce their own…my (13 year old) daughter thinks this is an absolutely unwise mission! But really thank you so so much both Margie and Lisa (and Rose too) for all of your kindness and support! It has meant the world to me!!
